Creating and Managing Routes

The Routing feature allows agents to plan dealership visits directly from the Territory Insights map. You can select dealerships, create optimized travel routes, check in at each stop, and log notes—all from a single workflow. Created routes automatically appear under Manage → Routes for future reference.

Step 1: Select Dealerships from Territory Insights

  1. Go to Search → Territory Insights.
  2. From the results table, select the dealerships you want to visit using the checkboxes.
  3. Click View on Map to open the selected dealers on the interactive map.
  4. By default, the map shows all dealerships.
  5. To view only your selections, click Selected at the top of the map—your chosen dealers will be highlighted.


Step 2: Create a Route

  1. In the map view, click Create Route.
  2. Enter your Starting Point (address or location name).
  3. Choose when to begin:
    • Leave Now – Start immediately.
    • Depart By – Schedule a future departure time.
  1. Adjust the Time at Each Stop to set how long you plan to spend at each dealership.
  2. Click Create Route to generate your optimized travel route.

VelociFI uses Google Maps to calculate the best route, total distance, and estimated travel time.


Step 3: Check In During Dealer Visits

While traveling your route, you can log visits and notes for each stop:

  1. Click Check-In next to a dealership.
  2. Add a short note such as “Met with manager, follow-up next week.
  3. Use Skip if a visit was missed or rescheduled.
  4. Click Save to record the update.
  5. To navigate to the next stop, click Navigate to open Google Maps from your current location.


Step 4: Complete a Route

When you’ve finished visiting all dealers on your route:

  1. Click Complete Route.
  2. A confirmation message will appear confirming that the route was successfully completed.

Completed routes are automatically saved for future reference.


Step 5: View or Edit Saved Routes

  1. Go to Manage → Routes Tab.
  2. All created routes appear here with details such as:
    1. Route Name
    2. Creation Date
    3. Number of Dealerships
    4. Total Distance and Travel Time
  3. Click the ⋮ (More Options) icon to rename, edit, or delete a route.
  4. Example: Change “New Route” to “Lehi Store Route” and click Update Route.


Notes

  • Routes created from Territory Insights automatically save to Manage → Routes.
  • Route data includes dealer stops, total distance, and completion history.
  • Check-ins and notes are tied to dealer records for full CRM visibility.


Tips

  • Create routes from filtered search results for targeted travel days.
  • Use Lists to pre-group priority dealerships before routing.
  • Log quick notes at check-in for easy recall during follow-ups.
