How do I Create and Edit a Recon Workflow?
Having the right workflow for your vehicles is key to helping manage and move vehicles quickly to the front line. (Make sure that as you create your workflow you are considering the option of having multiple/different workflows for vehicles)
Create A Template
Create a new workflow by going to Settings > Recon > Templates then click "ADD"
From the pop-up, select Custom if you want to start from scratch or select Global Templates to get started with one of our premade templates. Then edit it as you see fit (We recommend Starting with "Recon Workflow").
Once your workflow is created, click on it and you can start editing as needed.

Recon Template Settings
Associate the template with an inspection and adjust how much automation you want on the workflow.
Step Change Method
Automatic Flow (Recommended): Will move the step automatically to the next once all tasks are marked as complete.
Prompt Flow: Will change the status of the next step to get started after a prompt to the user who completes the last step.
Manual Flow: Will have no prompts but will be organized in a leaner way.
Unordered Flow: This has no specific order or automation.

Main Template
By selecting this option this template will appear as the first one when added to a vehicle.
Auto Apply On Vehicle Creation
By selecting this option this template will be added to all vehicles in your inventory. It will not remove any other workflows that were added to the vehicle prior to this.
Add Step
This will add a new step to the workflow and will appear at the very end.
Reorder Steps
This will allow you to reorder your steps by dragging and dropping them in the order you want them to follow.
Sync Template
This button only makes changes to workflows attached to vehicles who have not yet completed a step in the recon process. It will not retroactively update workflows for vehicles that have already started the recon process.
This allows you to sync any changes you make in your recon template and apply those changes to the workflow attached to your vehicles that have not yet started the recon process.
Recon workflow structure
Workflows are organized in the following structure:
Recon Template
This refers to the template that outlines your entire recon process. Make sure that you make the name unique so it does not get confused with any other template you might have.
Steps
These are the foundation of the process that you will follow during the vehicle's reconditioning. A good way to set these up is to create a new step any time the vehicle gets moved or a different department takes action. Example: Transportation > Inspection > Schedule Repairs...
Tasks
These are the actionable items that individuals have to do on a vehicle. A task can be created during the template stage so they automatically appear on the workflow when added to a vehicle or they can be added to steps after the workflow is assigned to a vehicle (See Task Management article).

Edit The Template
